Bookfair Details

NEW BOOKFAIR DATES ANNOUNCED

17 to 19 DECEMBER at Thoroughbred Park.

  • Location: Thoroughbred Park, 1 Randwick Rd, Lyneham ACT 2602
  • Entry by gold coin donation or tap and go facilities.

Please note under COVID restrictions strict rules will be in place to allow us the best possible bookfair.

  • NO Stock Pilling allowed, we don’t have the ability to sit and sort books.
  • No seating at this years Bookfair, due to number restrictions we will be asking people to move through.
  • Limited numbers allowed inside at all times, you my be required to wait, please be patient.
  • Please be respectful and follow the instructions of staff and volunteers.
  • Do NOT attend the bookfair if you are unwell with any cold of flu-like symptoms.
  • Check-in will be required to enter, staff can assist you with this if you do not have the check-in CBR App.
  • All payment types accepted, including cash and eftpos.

COVID-19 Restrictions Update

Check in via the QR code will be mandatory, if you do not have a mobile phone or access to the App please ask our staff as you enter who will check in for you.

Limited numbers will be allowed inside the venue at once, you may be required to wait for entry. We ask you please be patient and kind, we have to follow strict guidelines for the event to go ahead.

If you do have cold or flu symptoms please DO NOT attend, you may be asked to leave the venue if showing signs of illness.

Unfortunately there is there is no seating available at this Bookfair so no stock pilling will be allowed, piles of books will be collected and put back on tables. We will be asking people to move through within reasonable time frames.

PARKING

Free Parking is available onsite .

Mobility access: Accessible parking options are available in front of both entry and exit. Parcel pickup service is also available outside the exit.

SHOPPING & PAYMENT OPTIONS

After selecting items to purchase, please proceed to the tally tables near the exit. The total cost of your purchase will be calculated here, before you move to the cash registers to pay for you purchase. Payment can be made by cash, credit card (MasterCard or Visa) or EFTPOS. If you need help to move heavy books, please approach one of our friendly volunteers.

ON THE DAY

Carry-bags are available for purchase for $3 each. We also encourage you to bring your own carry-bags.

Refreshments are available from the cafe.

BULK PURCHASES

For bulk purchases, please bring your own boxes, bags and trolleys to our bookfairs, we cannot supply them .

DONATIONS & VOLUNTEERS

Book Donations are always welcome. Donations can be dropped off outside the main entrance. Find out more about donating books.

If you would like to volunteer, register your interest here. For new Volunteers on the day come see us at the information desk during the Bookfair.
